About Us
Founded in 2018, BASKIN AFRICA is a Public Policy Think Tank with the overall goal of ensuring that the critical resources and sectors of the Ghanaian economy in particular but Africa at large, are carefully harnessed and expended to the benefit of citizens, in an inclusive, equitable, accountable and sustainable manner. With cutting edge research and partnerships, we attain our goals through evidence-based advocacy, and bespoke training programmes, designed for relevant governmental and non-government institutions, departments and agencies. We therefore step beyond raising critical questions, to providing alternatives and the needed capacities to implement same. Our advocacy work is mirrored in published research, media engagements, colloquiums, stakeholder forums, local and national policy dialogues, and collaborations with various institutions.
To expose deficient public and corporate actions, programmes and policies, while generating corresponding knowledge and alternatives, to advance accountability, inclusivity, equity and sustainable development.
To become the center of excellence in Africa where contemporary relevant knowledge, capacities and policy alternatives are generated for sustainable, inclusive and equitable development.
We are committed to:
- Inclusiveness
- Integrity
- Equity
- Accountability
- Excellence
